Description
30A and 30 Broad Street is a 18th-century building that has been altered. It is two stories tall and features a fairly steep pantile roof. The structure is made of red brick and has a toothed eaves band. There are end chimneys with drip-bands and capping. On the first floor, there are three flush frame, three-light wood casements. A plinth and a diaper pattern of dark headers remain visible on the left side of the building. The windows on the ground floor have rough flat arches and are now fitted with center glazing bars only. The ground floor also has flush frame doors with glazed upper halves. A wide former shop front from the late 19th century includes pilasters and a central entrance. The building has a tile roof and features two iron scroll brackets that once supported hanging signs on the first floor. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 2, 4 corner cafe, 6 to 20 (even), 30A, and 30.
