Description

No. 13 is a terrace house built around 1775, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The front is made of limestone ashlar, while the rear features a mix of ashlar and rubble. The house has a double pile roof that is parapeted at the front, covered with artificial slate, and includes a coped party wall with two ashlar stacks on the left. There is a staircase at the rear.

The exterior consists of three storeys and a basement, with a single bay that has three windows. On the first floor, there are three grouped horned sash windows in a six/six, nine/nine, and six/six configuration, all set in plain reveals with a continuous stone sill. The second floor features three similar horned sash windows in a four/four, six/six, and four/four arrangement. The ground floor has an eight/eight sash window on the left and a six-panel door on the right, which has flush beaded, fielded, and glazed panels within a stone doorcase. This doorcase is adorned with an ovolo moulded architrave and a flat surround, supported by heavy console brackets that hold up a projecting moulded cornice. There is one step leading to a pennant paved crossover with a cast iron foot-scraper. The basement has an eight/eight sash window in a plain reveal and a plank door beneath the crossover. A band course runs above the ground floor, with a coved eaves cornice and a coped parapet. A lead downpipe is attached to the left side. The rear elevation also has six/six horned sash windows.

The property features attached cast iron railings with decorative cast heads on concrete bases.
