BELVEDERE (West side) No. 13 and attached railings (Formerly Listed as: LANSDOWN ROAD (West side) No. 3 (Bee Hive Inn), Nos. 4-24 (consec), No. 25 (Wine Vaults PH) Belvedere) 12/06/50

Terrace house. c1775 with C19 alterations. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to front, ashlar and rubble to rear; double pile roof, parapeted to front, artificial slate to front and rear, with coped party wall with two ashlar stacks to left. Staircase to rear. EXTERIOR: three storeys and basement; single bay three window front. First floor has three grouped six/six nine/nine six/six horned sashes in plain reveals with continuous stone sill; second floor has three similar four/four six/six four/four sashes. Ground floor has eight/eight sash to left, to right six panel door with flush beaded, fielded and glazed panels in stone doorcase with ovolo moulded architrave in flat surround with heavy console brackets supporting projecting moulded cornice over; one step to pennant paved crossover with cast iron foot-scraper. Basement has eight/eight sash in plain reveal, plank door under crossover. Band course over ground floor; coved eaves cornice and coped parapet. Lead downpipe attached to left. Rear elevation has six/six horned sashes. INTERIOR: Not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Attached cast iron railings with decorative cast heads on concrete bases.
