Description

This is a terrace house dating to circa 1775. It is constructed of limestone ashlar to the front, with ashlar and rubble to the rear. The roof is double-pile and parapeted to the front, covered with concrete tiles to both front and rear, and supported by two ashlar stacks containing some early clay pots to the left. A staircase is located to the rear.

The house is three storeys and has a basement, featuring a three-window front. The first floor has a Venetian window with four/four, six/six, four/four horned sashes in splayed reveals and a continuous stone sill. The ground floor has a similar six/six sash in a plain reveal with splayed jambs and a stone sill to the left, and a six-panel door with flush beaded, fielded and glazed panels, a cast iron lions mask knocker in a stone doorcase with an ovolo moulded architrave in a flat surround and heavy console brackets supporting a projecting moulded cornice over. There is one step to a pennant paved crossover. The basement has a six/six horned sash in a splayed reveal and a six-panel door under the crossover. A band course is present above the ground floor, and the eaves are coved with a coped parapet. The partially visible rear elevation contains six/six sashes to the second floor and second half-landing, and a two-light timber casement to the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.

Attached to the property are wrought iron railings and a gate with shaped heads on limestone bases and a bottom bar.
