Description

This is a terrace house dating from around 1775, with alterations made in the 20th century. The front is constructed of limestone ashlar, painted on the ground floor, with ashlar at the rear. It has a double-pile, parapeted roof covered in Welsh slate, with coped party walls and two ashlar stacks on the left side. A staircase is located at the rear.

The house is four storeys high with a basement, and has a two-window front. The first floor features two paired plate glass sash windows with horns, set in splayed reveals and a continuous stone sill. The second floor has three similar sashes, narrower on either side, in plain reveals with a continuous stone sill. The third floor contains two plate glass sashes in plain reveals with stone sills. On the ground floor, there's a plate glass sash window in a splayed reveal with a stone sill to the left, and a six-panel door to the right. The door has flush beaded panels, a single glazed panel, and is set within a stone doorcase with an ovolo moulded architrave, flat surround, and projecting moulded cornice supported by heavy console brackets. A single step leads to a pennant paved crossover with a cast iron footscraper. A plate glass sash window is in a plain reveal in the basement, with a 20th-century door located under the crossover. A band course runs above the ground floor, and there are coved eaves cornices above the second floor and a coped parapet. The rear elevation has two-over-two sash windows with plate glass. The interior has not been inspected. Attached wrought iron railings with shaped heads sit on painted limestone bases.
