Description

This is a late 18th-century house, built as part of a terraced row on Lansdown Hill. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, with the ground floor painted. The roof is covered in double Roman tiles. The house has three storeys and an attic, with a narrow single-bay facade. On the ground floor, there are paired plain sash windows with a narrow stone mullion in plain reveals. The front door has a cornice head supported by consoles. A platband runs across the front to the level of the first floor. The first floor has paired sash windows with dropped sills and a shared wrought-iron balconette. The mullion between the first-floor windows is wider than that on the ground floor. The second floor features a triple sash window with a shared sill and balconette. There is a cornice, then a parapet, and a mansard roof with three flat-topped dormers, each with plain plate glass sashes. An ashlar chimney stack to the right has some pots. The rear elevation is not visible. The interior was refitted in 2002. The building formerly operated as the Bee Hive Inn.
