Description

No. 7 is a terrace house built around 1775, located in Belvedere. The front is made of limestone ashlar, which has been painted at the ground floor, while the rear features ashlar and rubble. The building has a double pile roof that is parapeted at the front.

It stands three storeys high with a basement and has a single bay front with three windows. The first floor features a Venetian window with a combination of four/four and six/six horned sashes, including fan glazing above the center window, all set in splayed reveals with a continuous stone sill. The second floor also has four/four and six/six horned sashes in splayed reveals with a continuous stone sill.

On the ground floor, to the left, there is an 8/8 horned sash window in a splayed reveal with a stone sill. To the right, there is a six-panel door with flush fielded and glazed panels, set within a stone doorcase that has an ovolo moulded architrave and a flat surround, supported by heavy console brackets that hold up a projecting moulded cornice. There is one step leading to a pennant paved crossover. The basement features an 8/8 horned sash window in a plain reveal and a half-glazed door beneath the crossover.

Additional details include a band course above the ground floor, a moulded eaves cornice, and a coped parapet. The rear elevation has a hipped roof extension up to the first half-landing, with horned glazing bar sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
