Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a house dating from around 1830. It is constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof. The house is two storeys high with three windows. The windows are sash windows retaining their original glazing bars, each with a rubbed brick arch and jalousies. A central doorcase features a wooden pediment, pilasters, panelled reveals, a rectangular fanlight, and a six-panelled door. Two stone steps lead up to the entrance. There is a brick chimney stack behind the ridge of the roof to the right and a stack at the left end.
