Description

Sandpit Farmhouse is a house dating to around 1830. It is constructed of red brick with boarded eaves, a 2-span slate roof, and brick chimneys featuring dentil detailing at the top. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. It has sash windows with brick arches above, the windows containing four panes on the sides and three panes in the centre. The central door is flush-panelled and has a rectangular fanlight, wooden pilasters, and a wooden cornice hood supported by shaped brackets. The interior of a rear range includes older cross beams, one moulded and one with stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
