Description
Sandpit Lane Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and an extension from the 18th to 19th centuries at the front. The structure features a timber frame with brick infill on the right gable and within the original front wall. The front and right side are rendered, and there is a brick lean-to at the rear. The building has old tile roofs and a central brick chimney with attached shafts in the 17th-century section, along with another brick chimney in the center of the front extension. The farmhouse has two storeys, with the extension having a lower parallel roof and two bays. The left bay contains paired wooden casements, while the right bay features three-light wood and metal casements. Above the left bay is a small gable from a cross wing, which has two bays of similar casements and a central 20th-century door. Inside, the right bay includes a stop-chamfered spine beam, while the left bay has been altered.
