Description
The Brew House and attached barns are a house and barn complex dated 1767, although the front of the house was rebuilt around 1962. The building is constructed of brick with offset eaves and an old tile roof that is half-hipped to the right. There is a rebuilt brick chimney located between the right bays and another chimney on the left. The structure has a T-plan layout, with two storeys and an attic, featuring three bays. The windows are horizontal sliding sashes, with those on the ground floor having segmental heads. A board door with a gabled timber porch is situated between the left bays.
Attached to the left end of the house is an irregular T-plan range of barns, which are all timber-framed and clad in weatherboard. The bays adjacent to the house are partly tiled and feature tall queen struts, raking posts to the lower purlins, and braced tie beams. The projecting bays are of later construction and have curved principal trusses. The rear bays are slightly lower and include queen strut trusses with wavy braces to the tie beams.
