Description
Mill House is a house dating from the late 16th to early 17th century, with extensions added in the late 17th to 18th centuries. The eastern wing is timber framed with brick infill, primarily in a herringbone pattern, while the left gable is roughcast. The rear wing is constructed of brick and features a band course at the first floor level. The house has an old tiled roof and a brick chimney located at the angle between the wings. It is designed in an L-shape with an outshot at the rear and has two storeys plus an attic. The earlier wing consists of two bays, with paired barred wooden casements in the left bay and a 19th-century external chimney at the front of the right bay. The right gable includes 20th-century windows on each storey, a paired wooden casement in a 17th-century frame on the first floor, and a blocked attic window with a similar frame. There are entries on the right side of the rear wing and in the outshot.
