Description

The Firs is a house dating from around 1800, located on Enderby High Street. It is constructed of red brick with a rendered right gable and features a slate roof with flanking brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, presenting a double-fronted appearance. The eaves are decorated with dentils. The windows are 20th-century wooden casements with thick glazing bars, arranged as three-light on the sides and two-light in the center. The ground floor windows have gauged brick heads, while the upper windows are topped with wooden lintels. The central entrance features a 20th-century panelled door with a semicircular fanlight set in a gauged brick arch, and is topped by a 20th-century arched wooden hood. The house is included in the listing for its group value.
