Description

4 The Cross is a small house built in the early to mid-19th century, featuring 20th-century windows. The building is constructed of pale red and yellow chequer brick, topped with a slate roof and a brick chimney. It stands two storeys high and has two bays. The windows on the upper floor are 20th-century paired barred wooden casements with asymmetrical top-lights, and they retain their original 19th-century cambered heads. The left bay on the ground floor has a similar single light and a door set within a 20th-century lean-to porch. This house is included for its group value.
