Description

The Court, formerly the stables for Enderby Hall, is now used as offices and a showroom. It was built in the mid to late 19th century and altered in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick with polychrome brick and stone dressings, topped with a slate roof. It has one storey and a loft, featuring five bays. The structure includes a plinth with chamfered blue brick coping, a moulded eaves cornice made of stone and blue brick, and moulded stone gable copings designed as an open pediment, supported by paired stone corbels at the kneelers.

On the south side, there is a blind arcade with semicircular arches made of red, yellow, and blue brick, resting on piers that have recessed yellow brick panels and moulded stone imposts. The spandrels contain small blind roundels with moulded stone surrounds. In the four left arches, 20th-century square wooden windows have been inserted. The east gable features two blind arches similar to those on the south side, with a larger polychrome brick roundel above the centre.

The north side has six bays, five of which contain sash windows set in depressed arches of yellow brick. The fourth bay features 20th-century double panelled doors with a fanlight above. Above these doors is a loft door set in a coped gable, adorned with carved side scrolls. The building also has two skylights. Attached buildings that project north from the west end of the stables are not of special interest.
