Description
Lower Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1830. It is built of red brick and features a moulded plinth, panelled eaves, a hipped slate roof, and symmetrical brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and a basement, with a three-bay front. The windows are three-pane sash windows, with the ground floor windows having flat brick arches. There is a barred wooden basement window to the left. The central bay contains a six-panelled door topped by a semi-circular radiating fanlight, set within a rendered doorcase that has pilasters and an open pediment. At the rear, there is one window with paired barred wooden casements that have arched top lights. The property also features cast iron guttering adorned with ornamental lions' heads.
