Description
House. Dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with alterations in the early 20th century, the farmhouse comprises two parallel ranges, a shorter range at the rear and a longer, front range. The rear range has a brick ground floor and rough cast upper portion. The brickwork in the right bay is original to the 17th century, laid in English bond. The front range has a lower bay to the right, constructed of 18th-century brick, with the remainder built later using brick with cogged eaves and a first-floor string course. The roofs are tiled, and brick chimneys are present. The two-storey, three-bay south front has barred wooden windows with segmental heads. Three paired casements are found on the upper floor of the main block. The ground floor is more irregular, with two wide three-light casements and a canted bay window to the left of the right bay. A barred and glazed door, with a pedimented wooden hood, is located to the left of the right bay.
