Description
This is an early 19th century house with a 20th century extension to the south. It was built using brick in a grey header bond, with red brick detailing. The original part of the building has some tile hanging on its south elevation, and the entire structure is topped with a modern tiled roof. The house is two storeys high, with attics, and has three windows visible from the front. Architectural details include a brick sawtooth cornice, a moulded wooden cornice below that, a band separating the floors, and corner quoins. There are two hipped dormers, each with a tripartite window. The sash windows are arranged as a 12-pane central window flanked by tripartite windows with 24 panes each. The central door is recessed within a doorcase featuring a flat hood supported by brackets, Tuscan half columns, and a rectangular fanlight with a St Andrew's cross design. An early 20th century door completes the doorcase. Brick chimney stacks are located at the ends of the building. A two-storey extension in matching materials was added to the south in the early 20th century.
