Description

This is a late 16th or early 17th century timber-framed house that was refronted in the 19th century. The ground floor is faced with diaper brickwork in a Flemish bond pattern, featuring vitrified headers on a sandstone plinth. The first floor is tile hung, with a mixture of square and curved tiles. The end elevation is weatherboarded. The half-hipped roof is tiled, with a central brick chimney stack and a large external chimney stack to the left-hand side, constructed from sandstone with English bond brickwork above. The house has two storeys and four windows. The upper windows are 19th century sliding casements. The ground floor windows are 19th century casements, some with two or three lights. There are two doorcases with moulded architraves, containing plank doors. This building is considered to have group value.
