Description
Mead Cottage is a house, likely built in the late 16th century or early 17th century, which was refronted in the 19th century and restored in the 20th century. The ground floor is constructed of red brick with a partial header bond, sitting on a sandstone plinth, while the first floor is weatherboarded. The roof is old and tiled, featuring a half-hipped design on the left side, with a brick stack on the ridge and an external stack on the left side. The building has two storeys and features five windows arranged in a 2:3 pattern, with modern casement windows. The original doorcase has been removed, and the entrance is now located in a 20th-century single-storey brick extension on the right side.
