Description
September Cottage and April Cottage are a pair of 18th-century cottages located on Runtley Wood Lane in the Borough of Woking. They feature a timber frame construction, with September Cottage (No 3) on the left, which has brick infill and a plain tile roof with an end stack at the rear left. This cottage is two storeys high, showcasing exposed timber framing of thin scantling and irregularly placed casement windows, with two on the first floor. There is a plank door in a brick extension that is set back to the left end and extends across the rear of the home.
April Cottage (No 4) is to the right and has colourwashed brick at the base, with tile hanging above on the left-hand end and a catslide roof covering the right half. This cottage has one storey under the catslide to the right and two storeys set back to the left. It features casement windows, with two on the ground floor, and a central part-glazed door located under a weatherboard porch hood supported by brackets.
