Description

April's Cottage is a detached house that was formerly two cottages or a cottage and an outbuilding. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The front is made of squared coursed Portland stone, while the other sides are constructed from rubble, topped with slate roofs. The building is divided into two parts, with the left side featuring a roof that has a lower pitch and a smaller span.

The cottage has two storeys and features four windows on the upper floor and two on the ground floor, all of which are 2-light flush stone mullion casements with 6-pane lights. The ground floor windows have stopped labels. The main section of the cottage has a flush chamfered stone doorway located off-centre to the left, which contains a 20th-century glazed door. To the right of the smaller section, there is a similar doorway and door, and this section has only one window on the ground floor. The building has two gable stacks and an additional stack at the rear of the left end. It is situated on the Nottington Court estate. The interior has not been inspected.
