Description
Frog Lane Farm House is a house dating from the 16th century, with a mid-19th century cross wing on the left and an extension to the right. The building has a timber frame that is encased in brick, and it features plain tiled roofs with ridge stacks located in the gable ends of the cross wing. The house is two storeys tall and has a gabled dormer to the left of centre. The first floor has three diamond pattern leaded casement windows, while the ground floor windows are set under cambered heads. There is a board and part glazed door to the right of centre and a plank door to the left, located in the angle of the cross wing and sheltered by a pent roof porch supported by wooden brackets. The left-hand return front, added in the 19th century, is also two storeys high and features dentilled eaves, glazing bar sash windows under cambered heads, and a central glazed door beneath a flat porch hood on brackets. Inside, a Queen post truss is visible on the first floor, and old framed walls have been preserved.
