Description
The Dolphin Fountain, located to the east of the lake in Witley Park, is a late 19th-century feature. It is designed in the Italian Mannerist style, showcasing a white marble dolphin's head adorned with acanthus leaf decoration. The dolphin's head projects from a rock outcrop, with water flowing from its mouth. This fountain is part of a series of garden features created by H. Paxton-Watson for the financier Whitaker-Wright.
