Description
The bridge and weir, located between Thursley and Stable Lakes, was built around 1900, likely designed by H. Paxton-Watson for financier Whitaker-Wright. It is constructed from coursed sandstone blocks with ashlar coping and features rounded end newel posts on the parapet walls. The bridge consists of two arches and has a D-shaped bowl basin on the front facing Thursley Lake. Below, there is a two-tier arcade that forms the weir.
