Description

The fountain at the Childe-Beale Trust, dating from around 1890 to 1900, was designed by O. Spalmach. It features a central stone rock with a dolphin and a figure, surrounded by four maidens on sea horses at the base. The fountain has a circular inner enclosure and a shaped outer enclosure adorned with caryatids and cherubs. Originally, the fountain came from Witley Park in Surrey. O. Spalmach previously worked in the studio of O. Andreoni in Rome.
