Description

The lamp post located to the north of Castle Hill House dates from the later 19th century. It features a tapering octagonal shaft made of painted cast iron, which has bands of necking. The lamp post stands on a moulded octagonal plinth and is topped with a quadrangular lamp that includes cresting. This lamp post is part of a group of listed buildings along Castle Street on the east side.
