Description

This lamp post, located opposite the stable block of Castle Hill House, dates from the later 19th century. It features a tapering octagonal shaft made of painted cast iron, which is adorned with bands of necking. The lamp post stands on a moulded octagonal plinth and supports a quadrangular lamp with cresting. It is part of a group of listed buildings along Castle Street (East Side).
