Description

Grove Cottage is a house dating back to the 16th century, with a later 19th-century addition to the front. The front facade is of whitewashed brick with a pyramidal slate roof and a side chimney stack. It is two storeys high with a three-bay frontage, featuring glazing bar sash windows set beneath cambered heads. A central projecting, pedimented porch has double-panelled doors with traceried transom lights. The rear of the house is timber-framed with red brick infill, whitewashed on the first floor, and has plain tile roofs constructed with queen struts, along with a ridge stack. There is also a weatherboarded range to the rear.
