Description

The Smithy is a 17th-century building located on the south side of The Green in Chiddingfold. It features a timber frame with 19th-century brick infill and encasement, topped with hipped plain tile roofs and end stacks to the central section. The structure is one storey high and has dentilled eaves. In the centre recessed section, there is a casement window, while the projecting wing to the right has double doors. The gable front is weatherboarded and breaks to the left. At the rear, there is a casement window across the centre and a weatherboarded projecting gable wing with double doors at the left end.
