Description
No. 46 West Street is a building with a front dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is two storeys tall and has two bays. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a hip on the right side, while the eaves feature a brick cornice. The front is made of red brick, with a band of blue headers above the ground floor. The windows are small, two-light casements, with the left-hand ground floor window having a segmental head. There is a small 19th-century shop front on the right side, which includes a door and window flanked by pilasters, along with a plain fascia and a moulded cornice. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 18, 37, 43, 45, and all the listed buildings on the south-east side from Nos. 19 to 46, including the wrought-iron screen before Vernon House.
