Description

No. 50 High Street is a late 18th-century, three-storey brick house featuring a plaster front, a shallow pitched slate roof, and a modillion eaves cornice. The building has two windows on both the first and second floors, which are glazing bar sashes set in plain wooden cases that are almost flush with the wall. On the ground floor, there is one large and one small bay shop window beneath a joint fascia that has bead and reel moulding in the cornice. The doorcase is marked with the number '50' and is flanked by pilasters situated between the shop fronts. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 36 to 58 (even) High Street, with Nos. 54 and 56 being of local interest.
