Description
No. 68 West Street is a two-storey building that may have a timber-framed core, although its front has been altered. The exterior is finished in colour-washed brock and sits on a projecting plinth. It features a Dutch gable on the right-hand return face and has an old tile roof. The upper floor has two modern dormers with mullions, while the ground floor includes two modern bow windows and a central six-panel flush door, which is topped by a modern flat hood supported by carved stone scroll brackets. Despite the changes to the street front, the building is listed as Grade II due to its group value and the possibility of an earlier core. Nos. 66 and 73, which are adjacent, contribute to this group.
