Description
The former granary, now known as Cowmans Cottage, is located 15 yards south west of Lynehouse Farm House and dates back to 1738. This building features a timber frame set on a rendered stone plinth, with brick infill in red and blue visible in the exposed framing on the first floor. The plain tiled roof extends down over a projection at the front right, and there is a stack at the rear right. The cottage is two storeys high with three framed bays, including one casement window on the first floor and two casement windows on the ground floor. A 20th-century flat roof brick porch with a half-glazed door is situated to the left of centre. There is also a 20th-century flat-roofed extension at the right end. The gables are tile hung on the return fronts. The building was converted into a house around 1966.
