Description
Oat Barns is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber frame with a rendered plinth and rendered brick cladding below, while the upper part is tile hung. The roof is made of Horsham slabs and has a rear ridge stack on the left end and an offset end stack on the right. The building is two storeys high, with four casement windows on the first floor and two larger diamond-pane casement windows on the ground floor. There is a central half-glazed door that is sheltered by a flat hood supported on brackets. On the left side, there is an extension with a single-storey bay that connects the main house to a two-storey parallel range. A separate house at the rear, which has red tiles, is not included in the listing. Inside, there is a heavy ceiling frame and some wall framing that is visible.
