Description

Lynehouse Farm House is a house dating back to the 16th century, with extensions added in the 17th century and alterations made in the 20th century. The house is timber-framed with a brick and render plinth, and has rendered infill between the exposed framing, topped by a plain tiled roof. A rendered ridge stack is located to the right of the centre. The house is in a T shape, with a large wing extending at a right angle to the rear. It has two storeys and four framed bays, featuring irregular 20th-century diamond-pane leaded casement windows. There is a single 3-light window to the first floor left, a small window to the left of the centre, and a projecting two-story break under a pent roof to the right of the centre, with one 5-light window on each floor. A further 3-light window is present on each floor to the right end. A pent-roofed porch, glazed and with a recessed stone rear wall, is located on the right, and a planked door is to the right-hand side. Single-story brick extensions are set back to the right. The left-hand return front is tile-hung, with a pent-roofed glazed porch and glazed door. The rear has a tile-hung wing with exposed close framing to the end, and a fine double stack on a shaped plinth, with an oversailing top to the right.
