Description
This granary, dating from the 17th century, is located 40 yards southeast of Wintersell Farm House in Crowhurst. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with brick walling on the ground floor to the south and weatherboard cladding on the upper sections. The roof is plain tiled and hipped at the rear. The structure is rectangular with three framed bays and has a gable front facing the street on the east side, which includes an open ground floor. An external wooden staircase leads to the left, attached to a pent-roofed outshot. On the first floor of the right-hand return front (north side), there are two diagonal mullioned windows. The east side has a central planked door on the first floor, while the rear features double doors.
