Description

The Mill House is a house with a 17th-century timber-framed core that was refronted in the 19th century. The front of the building is clad in red and blue brick at ground floor level and tile hanging in alternating fish-scale and diamond patterns at first floor level. It has a plain tiled roof with end ridge stacks. The two-storey front has a regular design with three eaves sash windows on the first floor, set in moulded surrounds, beneath steep gables. A central panelled door is set under a transom light and flat hood. The right-hand return front shows exposed timber framing on the ground floor. A wing extends at right angles to the rear. To the rear left is a parallel range with a slate roof. The building is included on the heritage list for group value only.
