Description

The Coach House and Stable Cottage, originally built in the 18th century, is a former stable and coach house that has been converted into houses and divided. It is constructed of red brick with blue brick headers on a brick plinth. The building features a stone-coped parapet at the center and a hipped plain tiled roof, with lower hipped roofs at each end. There are end stacks on the central roof and a central wooden boarded bell-turret with louvred openings beneath a pyramidal roof topped with a metal weathervane.

The structure is two stories tall, showcasing brick dentil eaves bands and stone spheres on the parapet. The fenestration is regular, with two blocked windows on the first floor left, and the right-hand window retains remnants of pigeon holes. The center of the first floor has two cambered head glazing bar sash windows, while the right side features two casements. A central blind panel with a clock face is located on the first floor center, and there are arched casement windows on the ground floor left.

The center of the left-hand range has double casement doors framed by a pseudo panel pilaster and board surround, along with a six-panel door featuring V-pattern panels and a depressed arched head in an architrave surround, topped by an open gabled hood. The center of the right-hand range has a six-fielded panel door beneath a flat hood on braces, and there is a 20th-century panelled door in a boarded surround at the right end. The rear of the building is tile-hung on the first floor, and there is a single-storey hipped wing extending at right angles to the left of center.
