Description
Lindfield Place Cottage is a former stable that has been converted into a cottage. It is dated 1763 and was restored in the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a half hipped tiled roof. It has one storey and attics, with three windows. The eaves are adorned with a modillion cornice. At the center, there is a gable that resembles a pediment, which contains a loft door with a lunette above it. Below this, there is a plain nine-panelled door. On the right side of the ground floor, there is a 19th-century casement window alongside modern garage doors. To the left of the door, there is a cast iron pump against the wall, as well as an additional doorcase with reeded pilasters, a flat hood, and a six fielded panelled door. Inside, the cottage features a chamfered beam with run-out stops and two Victorian wood and metal stalls.
