Description
St John's Lodge is a house that was originally built as a schoolmaster's residence in the late 19th century, with a 20th-century extension added to the rear that matches the original style and materials. The building is constructed from Sussex sandstone and features a tiled roof. It has two storeys and a projecting gable on the left side, which includes two windows. The gable is adorned with a kneeler and a cross-shaped saddlestone, as well as a pointed arched window with double cusped heads. On the right side, there is a four-light window with cusped heads on the first floor and a three-light window with cusped heads on the ground floor. The entrance is a pointed arched doorway located at the angle of the gable, featuring a pointed arched planked door with iron hinges.
