Description
This granary, dating from the 17th century, is located about 35 yards northwest of Huntingdrop Farmhouse. It is timber-framed with brick infill, a brick plinth, and a half-hipped plain tiled roof. The structure consists of five framed bays and has two levels. The framing features three panels from the sill to the wall-plate, long straight braces in the lower corners, and truncated collar and tie-beam trusses with four struts beneath the lower collar and two struts above. On the main south elevation, the lower level has six open panels, while the upper level has four open panels. There are double doors in the third bay and brick steps leading to the upper level door at the right end, as well as doors to the upper level in the gable ends. The interior was not accessible during the inspection.
