Description

Bombers Farm House is a house dating from the 16th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. It is timber framed, sitting on a stone plinth, with white-washed brick infill below and tile hanging above in alternating bands of fishscale and plain tiles. The roof is tiled, with a large central ridge stack. The house is two storeys high, with three framed bays. It features regular 19th-century diamond-pattern leaded casement windows, three across the first floor. A central planked door is set within a 19th-century timber-framed gabled porch with glazed sides and brick infill. An outshot extension projects from the left end. A large early 20th-century wing extends to the right at a 45-degree angle, with incised rendered ground floor, tile hanging above, and a plain tiled mansard-style roof. A further wing is set at right angles to the rear.
