Description
Comforts Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 16th century that has been significantly extended. The left side features a timber frame with brick cladding on a stone plinth, and tile hanging above, while the right side consists of brick extensions. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a rear stack on the left and a central rear ridge stack. The building is two storeys high on the left and centre, with a single storey and attic in a catslide across the front right, which includes two leaded casement gabled dormers. There are two leaded casement windows on the first floor, located on the left and centre. A 20th-century ribbed door is situated on the left side of the right-hand extension. The left-hand return front displays exposed framing with corner bracing and rendered infill.
