Description

TQ 44NW LIMPSFIELD C.P. GUILDABLES LANE,

10/142 Langhurst. II

House, dated 1739 over the door, with C20 extensions across the rear. Red brick on rubblestone plinth, tile hung above; plain tiled half hipped roof with large front ridge stack to right of centre. 2 storeys and attic under 3 diamond pane hipped roof leaded casement dormers; brick plat band over ground floor. Three sash windows and one casement across the first floor; ground floor tripartite sash windows under cambered heads. 6 panelled door to right of centre in fluted Doric pilaster surround supporting pediment.

Interior: Heavy timber ceiling frame with bracketed massive cross beam. Deep brick fireplace with wooden lintel. Materials re-used from older house previously on the site.
