Langhurst

Langhurst is a house dated 1739, located on Guildables Lane in Limpsfield. It features a red brick exterior set on a rubblestone plinth, with tile hanging above. The roof is plain tiled and half hipped, with a large front ridge stack positioned to the right of the center. The building has two storeys and an attic, which includes three diamond-pane hipped roof leaded casement dormers. A brick plat band runs above the ground floor. The first floor has three sash windows and one casement, while the ground floor features tripartite sash windows with cambered heads. To the right of center, there is a six-panelled door framed by a fluted Doric pilaster surround that supports a pediment.

Inside, the house has a heavy timber ceiling frame with a bracketed massive cross beam and a deep brick fireplace with a wooden lintel. Some materials have been reused from an older house that was previously on the site. The property also has 20th-century extensions at the rear.
