Description
Comforts is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with extensions added in the 19th and 20th centuries at the rear. The building features a timber frame set on a rendered plinth, with red and blue brick infill and cladding below, and tile hanging above. It has a plain tiled roof that is hipped to the left, with an end stack on the left and a large 17th-century offset end stack on the right. The house has two storeys, with a one-storey bay and a lucarne window above at either end, and three leaded casement windows across the first floor. There is a ribbed stable-style door to the left of centre. At the rear, there is a tile-hung wing to the left and a flat roof extension to the right. Inside, there is a considerable amount of visible framing and a deep brick fireplace.
