Description

Sunt Farmhouse is a house dating to the 16th century, with alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed with square timber framing on a brick plinth, with brick infill between the framing timbers. The roof is tiled, with a stack on the left-hand side and a central ridge stack. The house is two storeys high and has five framed bays with a mix of casement and horizontally sliding sash windows. A central planked door is set within a boarded surround and is sheltered by a gabled open porch supported by dado walls. On the left-hand return front is a boarded angle bay window. A 20th-century wing extends at right angles to the rear. The interior reveals considerable exposed timber framing.
