Description
Chelsham Place Farm House is a house dating from around 1700, with extensions added to the left in the early 19th century and to the right in the late 19th century. It has a timber-framed core, a front made of flint rubble with brick dressings, and a plain tiled roof featuring a rendered offset stack on the left and a ridge stack on the right. The house is two storeys tall with an attic, which has two flat roof dormers on the left, while the right side has a single storey with an eaves dormer above.
Across the first floor, there are four glazing bar sash windows, with one in the eaves dormer on the right under a cambered head. The ground floor windows also have cambered heads, with a taller 19th-century window on the right. To the left of centre, there is a part-glazed panelled door beneath a flat architrave porch hood supported by chamfered wooden posts with rendered pedestals, and a wooden Tuscan pilaster door surround. There are blocked double doors to the right of centre.
On the right-hand return front, there is an angle bay that rises through two floors. Additionally, there is a single-storey brick range set back at the left end, which has a hipped roof, and a catslide roof across the rear.
