House. Late C17, extended in line c1740; later C18 extension and further alterations and extensions in late C19. Timber-framed with brick additions and machine tile roof to front, pantile to rear: left of centre ridge stack to original house and tall ridge stack to extension. EXTERIOR: 2-storey 4-window entrance front with lower 2-storey extension to right. Original front has right of centre door of 6 fielded panels with glazed upper panels. Fenestration of 2-light C19 casements under hoodmoulds with label stops. Left-hand window to first floor is blind. Rear: two extensions, one fitted with a bay window. One piece of wattle and daub under glass exposed as a feature in main wall. Left return: 4/8 sash with a king mullion and hoodmould. INTERIOR: exposed timber-frame in extension in which is a large central fireplace: principal studs of frame are chamfered. First floor: room with blocked C17 3-light ovolo-moulded mullioned window. Roof of 2 tiers of butt purlins and collars.
