Two houses and business premises. C17 row converted to single house in early C18; altered and incorporated into former Angel Inn (qv) in mid C18; converted to two houses c1980. Timber-framed, plastered and colourwashed; pantile roof with brick ridge stack to right of centre, and 3 roof lights. EXTERIOR: 2-storey 4-window front. To left centre, through passage from which entrance doors open. To right of passageway are two 3/3 C20 horned sashes, that to extreme right filling former carriage arch. To left is a 2/2 C20 horned sash and a 3/3 C19 horned sash. Four C20 casements to first floor with glazing bars, two with hoodmoulds on label stops. Rear: formerly jettied but rebuilt without jetty during late C20 conversion. INTERIOR: heavy scantling timber-frame and jowled principal studs; tension braces to corners. Blocked mullioned windows visible in No.23. Roof of cambered tie beams but rebuilt above.
