Description

No. 35 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and flat. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone later alterations, including a 20th-century shop window. The building features gault brick on the ground floor and rendered timber-frame on the first floor, topped with a pantiled roof and a brick stack at the right end.

The exterior is two stories high with a two-window front. The ground floor has a plate-glass shop front, and to the right, there is a blocked doorway that used to provide access to the first-floor accommodation. On the first floor, there are two early 19th-century three-light casements.

Inside, there is one chamfered cruciform bridging beam with spear-head stops on the ground floor.
